BI & Data Manager
Mentmore are currently recruiting for a BI & Data Manager for our client, a leading retailer, who are undertaking a couple of large-scale projects. They are looking to bring on board an experienced BI & Data Manager with previous experiences of managing and leading BI and Data teams, exceptional senior stakeholder engagement skills up to and including reports to the executive committee and has extensive knowledge of Data warehousing, ETL and SQL Server experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for owning and leading the entire BI and Data team practice area
- Providing regular reports to senior business stakeholders, including the executive committee in a way that makes BI and Data both relevant and understandable for non-technical stakeholders
- Leading and running the BI and Data teams, including BI and Data Developers and Analyst
- Helping the business to better utilize their customer data to provide increasing revenue
- Reporting to executive committee and senior business stakeholders
- Drive Business Intelligence and analytics across all areas of the business
- Responsible to ensuring the business has the highest levels of data integrity and data accuracy possible
- Ownership of data accuracy within the Data Warehouse
- Promote and provide training on reporting and dashboarding best practice
- Identify process improvements within the business that will help further improve data accuracy
- Manage 3rd party external support partners
- Work with key business users to automate current and manual reporting processes and improve the accessibility of information to decision makers within the organisation.
Required Skills:
- Leadership / Mentoring experience of BI & Data teams within previous organisations
- Strong stakeholder management
- Excellent experience working with SQL Server and Data Visualisation tools
- Hands-on experience in business intelligence, process automation, working with data visualisation and analytics tools such as (Tableau, BOARD, Qlik)
- Must have: Data Warehousing, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office experience
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) / SQL Server 2012/14 experience
- Team Foundation Server
