Permanent role – Technical Lead – Azure

Mentmore is currently recruiting for a Technical Lead – Azure for our client, a leading retailer, who is undertaking a large-scale refresh programme. They are looking to bring on board an experienced Technical Lead – Azure with extensive experience on Microsoft Azure, on-premise hosting infrastructure and security and data protection.

Role: You will be the primary Technical Lead for Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments, and you will be part of a team of 5.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • You will be responsible for Microsoft Azure and on-premise hosting infrastructure.
  • Microsoft cloud technology infrastructure design and support: Azure, Office365 (email, SharePoint, MS Office) and Dynamics
  • Responsible for security best practices on the Azure/Windows 10/Office 365 infrastructure.
  • Deliver technical solutions with various projects and work close with the service desk team.
  • Manage technical support for technologies within the hosting tower.
  • Acts as back up for other technology towers covered by other members of the team (EUC, Security, Networks, etc)
  • PC, server and network administration and support, using structured, formal processes and procedures
  • Responsible for operating systems, applications, utilities
  • High-level responsibility for security and data protection within a multi-site network
  • Manage projects as required to install new IT equipment and software at the organisations sites.
  • Provide technical expertise in resolving problems and implementing changes to the IT infrastructure
  • Manage suppliers to ensure they are delivering quality services in line with agreed SLAs, and extract maximum value from these relationships.

 

Required skills:

 

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft cloud technology infrastructure design and support: Azure, Office365 (email, SharePoint, MS Office) and Dynamics
  • Supplier management
  • Advanced functional knowledge of operating systems, applications, utilities
  • Proven experience of PC, server and network administration and support
  • An in depth understanding of the basic principles behind technical support processes and procedures.
  • MCSE Certified engineer
  • Compensation£65k - £75k Basic + package including 25% Bonus etc.
